Construction has begun on the golf course renovation at Travis Pointe Country Club (Ann Arbor, Mich.), marking the next phase of the club’s long-range improvement plan as it approaches its 50th anniversary.
The renovation will thoughtfully enhance the club’s 18-hole golf course originally designed by Bill Newcomb-through strategic improvements that strengthen playability, aesthetics, and sustainability while preserving the character that has made Travis Pointe a respected championship venue.
The renovation includes the strategic repositioning and reconstruction of bunkers using the Better Billy Bunker lining system, green expansions on select holes, fairway refinements, improved drainage infrastructure, and selective tree management. Together, these improvements will enhance course conditions, improve maintenance efficiency, and support more sustainable course operations.
The renovation complements the club’s broader investment in its facilities, including recent clubhouse improvements, and reflects Travis Pointe’s continued commitment to providing an exceptional member experience.

Construction is expected to be completed by November 2026.
