The Riviera Country Club (Pacific Palisades, Calif.) will celebrate one hundred years of Riviera—1926 to 2026—at the Centennial Gala on Sunday, Oct. 11th at Riviera Country Club.
The rich 100-year history of The Riviera Country Club will be reflected at the Centennial Gala also marking the official launch of The Riviera Foundation.
From Ben Hogan to Sam Snead to Byron Nelson to Arnold Palmer to Jack Nicklaus to Ben Crenshaw to Ernie Els to Hale Irwin to Tom Watson to Fred Couples to Tiger Woods to Adam Scott to Hideki Matsuyama to Nelly Korda. The list goes on and one thanks to the various professional tournaments contested on the grounds.
Prior to launching The Riviera Foundation, The Riviera Country Club and its membership have been quite active in supporting the rebuilding efforts of Pacific Palisades after the devastating 2025 Los Angeles Fires.
This January, marking one year since the Los Angeles fires, The Riviera Country Club, in partnership with HexClad, hosted the “Rise and Dine” event, raising more than $1 million in support of Steadfast LA’s fire relief efforts, including the rebuilding of the Pacific Palisades Recreation Center. Prior to this event, The Riviera Country Club donated $1 million toward the recovery of the Pacific Palisades community. With additional contributions from Riviera members, the total donation grew close to $1.3 million. These funds were distributed between the CD11 Foundation and the Pacific Palisades Community Council to support fire recovery efforts directed to the Palisades community.
And with the launch of the Riviera Foundation, proceeds from the Centennial evening will benefit the USGA Foundation, First Tee, Lulu’s Place, the LAPD Foundation and the LAFD Foundation.
As Pacific Palisades continues to rebuild, The Riviera Country Club looks ahead to new chapters in its storied history: the 2027 Genesis Invitational, the LA28 Olympic golf competitions, and the 2031 U.S. Open. Golf’s greatest players will continue to make history at Riviera, one of the game’s greatest courses.
