Hoenig Family Announces Eternal Club Multi-Course Golf Membership

Eternal Club gives members unlimited golf across all participating golf properties for $2,200 per year across Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire golf clubs.

By Editorial Staff | September 30, 2026

After nearly eight decades in the public golf business, the Hoenig family, who founded four golf clubs across the Connecticut, Rhode Island and New Hampshire area, announced the launch of Eternal Club, a new multi-course golf membership built around accessible, affordable and fun golf.

Eternal Club gives members unlimited golf across all participating golf properties for $2,200 per year, creating an alternative to the traditional single-course membership. As the Eternal Club network grows, the goal is to continue adding golf courses while maintaining one consistent and affordable membership price across the portfolio.

The founding golf network includes:

  • Raceway Golf Club — Thompson, Connecticut
  • Melody Hill Golf Club — Chepachet, Rhode Island
  • Harrisville Golf Course — Harrisville, Rhode Island
  • Wentworth Golf Club — Jackson, New Hampshire
  • Portland West Golf Course — Portland, Connecticut

Eternal Club represents the next chapter in a family golf business that began in 1947, when father and son John and Donald Hoenig, PGA, designed, built and opened Raceway Golf Club.

For nearly 80 years, the family has remained committed to the fundamentals of public golf: fair pricing, great turf conditions, affordable food and beverage, welcoming courses and a laid-back culture where people can simply come out and enjoy the game.

In 2017, that philosophy led to the creation of the Tri-State Golf Pass, which gave golfers unlimited access to multiple courses throughout the region for a fraction of the cost of joining a traditional private or single-course club.

The response from golfers proved that there was demand for something different.

Eternal Club takes that original idea and builds upon it for the future.

“Our family has been in the public golf business since 1947, and we have always believed that golf doesn’t need to be complicated or overly expensive to be great,” says Jonathan Donald Hoenig, CEO of The Atlantic Companies. “The Tri-State Golf Pass showed us how much golfers valued being able to play multiple courses under one affordable membership. Eternal Club is the evolution of that idea.”

The long-term vision extends well beyond the five founding courses.

Over the coming years, Eternal Club plans to continue acquiring and partnering with public golf courses throughout the Northeast and beyond, creating a growing network of properties where one membership provides access across the entire portfolio

“We want to build something that can last for generations,” Hoenig continued. “As we add golf courses, our goal is to keep the membership simple and the price affordable. We want our members to have more places to play every year without losing the culture and value that made public golf special in the first place.”

The Eternal Club was created for the everyday golfer.

According to the Hoenig Family, it is about preserving the legacy of the public golf course and the casual public golf lifestyle while keeping the game accessible and affordable for the next generation.

As the family approaches its 80th year in the golf business, the mission remains similar to the beginning: Preserve the legacy of public golf, protect the casual public golf lifestyle, and keep golf accessible and affordable. Forever.
