C+RB Webinar to Explore the Technology Members Never See

From onboarding and reservations to member communications and cybersecurity, two club technology leaders will walk through the systems that quietly power the member experience.

By Joanna DeChellis, Editorial Director, Club + Resort Business | July 27, 2026

Technology shapes nearly every interaction members have with a club, from their first inquiry and onboarding to reservations, communications and the on-property experience. Yet when those systems work well, members rarely notice them.

Carly Wilson, Communications & Technology Manager at Forsyth Country Club in Winston-Salem, N.C.
John Woodall, Director of IT at Carmel Country Club in Charlotte, N.C.

On August 25th at 2:00 PM EST, Club + Resort Business will explore that idea during its upcoming webinar, The Technology Behind Every Member Touchpoint, featuring Carly Wilson, Communications & Technology Manager of Forsyth Country Club in Winston-Salem, N.C., and John Woodall, Director of IT at Carmel Country Club in Charlotte, N.C.

Rather than focusing on individual software platforms or products, the webinar will follow the member journey from start to finish, examining the technology behind each touchpoint and the operational decisions that help create a seamless experience.

Wilson and Woodall will discuss how technology supports member communications, online reservations, mobile apps, onboarding and day-to-day club operations. They’ll also share practical lessons from their own clubs, including what’s worked, what hasn’t and how they’ve approached technology decisions over time.

The session will also explore the realities of managing a club’s technology ecosystem, from choosing between all-in-one platforms and best-in-class solutions to integrating systems intentionally rather than by accident. Additional topics include cybersecurity, reducing technical debt and maintaining the infrastructure that allows hospitality teams to focus on serving members.

Designed for general managers, department heads, IT professionals and other club leaders, the webinar emphasizes practical ideas that can be applied regardless of a club’s size, budget or technology stack.

Wilson has been part of the Forsyth Country Club team for 15 years and oversees the club’s IT infrastructure, member communications and technology systems. Woodall has supported Carmel Country Club in various capacities since 2004 and now leads the club’s network architecture, security, software platforms and technology infrastructure.
