How Aberdeen Golf and Country Club Engages Diverse Demographics With Creative Event Strategy

Director of Membership and Communications shares how a coordinated multi-venue concert event allows Aberdeen Golf and Country Club to satisfy its diverse demographics in a single evening.

As the weather heats up, clubs like Aberdeen Golf & Country Club (Boynton Beach, Fla.) are thinking outside of the box to engage members in creative events.

With a diverse age range of membership, Talya Alhadeff Klein, Director of Membership & Communications of Aberdeen Golf & Country Club, and the Aberdeen team wanted to create an event that was appealing to every member.

The result was a March Music Madness event that brought members to three different venues within the club for a bar-hopping concert event.

Alhadeff Klein says this event was first introduced at the club’s Nashville Nights event in 2023 where the club featured three different musical groups representing a variety of genres. The groups performed in different locations through Aberdeen G&CC, with staggered start times for guests who wanted to experience all sets.

“Each club space featured its own genre, decor and bar, creating a fully immersive experience,” says Alhadeff Klein. “Along with the entertainment, members enjoyed themed hors d’oeuvres and desserts tailored to each genre of music.”

The Aberdeen team wanted to transform everyday member spaces into a refreshing environment during this event. The crawl took members to a transformed outdoor poolside setting, a veranda overlooking the golf course and an indoor venue.

“By encouraging movement between spaces, we aimed to keep energy levels high and maintain engagement throughout the evening,” she says. “The inclusion of multi-genre programming allowed us to appeal to a wide range of ages and tastes, ensuring a dynamic atmosphere for all members attending.”

Alhadeff Klein says this event required extensive coordination and is grateful for the Operational Team who collaborated to make it possible.

“Having three distinct experiences on the same evening across multiple spaces adds a significant level of planning,” she says. “The team’s consistent success in executing this event is a testament to their skill, organization and dedication.”

Alhadeff Klein says an event like this that offers members a fresh and memorable experience keeps engagement high and helps appeals to a broader range of interests and age groups. It also strengthens the sense of community while reinforcing the club’s commitment to “exceptional experiences.”
