At Broken Sound Club in Boca Raton, Fla., thousands of candles transformed the club’s terrace into an intimate concert venue for an evening that quickly became one of the club’s most popular
events of the season.
The club’s “Candlelight Concert” welcomed more than 260 members. The evening began with a dessert reception before members settled in for the performance. A live string quartet performed classic rock favorites, blending classical instruments with modern and familiar songs.
Anna Erickson, Director of Catering and Club Events, says member response exceeded expectations.
“We focused heavily on creating an immersive experience from the moment guests arrived,” she notes, “with candles lining the valet entrance, lobby, and pathways leading to our outdoor terrace, immediately setting the tone for the evening.”
The event exceeded attendance goals to such a degree that the club had to get creative with seating and event flow in order to comfortably accommodate all guests. The response reinforced members’ appetite for unique, experience-driven programming that feels different from a traditional club event.
“Because the concept felt so fresh and unique, we would absolutely consider bringing it back in the future,” Erickson says. “We would likely allow some time to pass before repeating it in order to preserve the excitement and originality of the experience.”
