Recent industry hires and promotions include a new General Manager at the Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg (Fla.) Resort & Golf Club, plus new Directors of Golf at the Osiris Country Club in Walden, N.Y. and Widow’s Walk Golf Course in Scituate, Mass.

The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg (Fla.) Resort & Golf Club hired Tabish Siddiquie as General Manager. Most recently, Siddiquie served as General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Denver, which attained its highest ever revenue and profit under his leadership. Prior to his time in Denver, Siddiquie honed his hospitality skills around the world at luxury hotels and resorts such as The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi Grand Canal, The Ritz-Carlton Almaty in Kazakhstan, The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman and The Ritz-Carlton San Francisco.
The Osiris Country Club in Walden, N.Y. named Brian Crowell as Director of Golf. Crowell was most recently General Manager of Silo Ridge Country Club in Amenia, N.Y. Prior to that, he was PGA Head Golf Professional at GlenArbor Golf Club in Bedford Hills, N.Y.
Widow’s Walk Golf Course in Scituate, Mass. named Ian Kelley as Director of Golf. Kelley replaces Bob Sanderson, who retired after 23 years at the club. Prior to joining Widow’s Walk, Kelley was Director of Golf at the Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Mass.
John Lyberger, PGA Director of Golf at Desert Mountain Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. has been named Callaway Golf Company’s Golf Professional of the Year for 2020. Prior to joining Desert Mountain, Lyberger was Vice President of Club Operations at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Fla., and before that the 20-year PGA Director of Golf at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda, Md.
Horseshoe Bay (Texas) Resort named Bobby Jack Haby, PGA as Assistant Director of Golf. Most recently, Haby was PGA Golf Professional at TPC San Antonio. Prior to that, he was Director of Golf at The Club at Sonterra in San Antonio.
John Gunby, PGA Professional at Antelope Hills Golf Courses in Prescott, Ariz., and Mark Woodward, CGCS, Director of Agronomy at Whisper Rock Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., have been inducted into the Arizona Golf Hall of Fame.
Rockledge (Fla.) Country Club has hired Keri Keen as Pickleball Instructor. A licensed Physical Therapist for more than 31 years, Keen is a certified Level II IPTPA Teaching Professional.
Grand Traverse Resort and Spa in Acme, Mich. named Katie Leonard as Director of Sales. Leonard began her career at the Resort in the golf department working with food and beverage and a year later became the Golf and Spa Sales Manager. Leonard will oversee all national sales managers, executive meeting managers and sales administrative staff.
Twin Orchard Country Club in Long Grove, Ill. appointed Erica Fermani as Membership Director. Most recently, Fermani was Catering Sales Manager at the Union League Club of Chicago where she serviced and sold meeting and event space. She has held sales and events position with Hostmark Hospitality and Intercontinental Hotels Group and is a graduate of Florida State University.
Plantation on Crystal River (Fla.) named Laurie Pike as Director of Sales and Rosemary White as Marketing Manager for the 196-room resort. Prior to joining the Plantation, Pike spent six years as Director of Sales and Marketing for the Florida division of MPH & Nivea Hotels. White has worked in product marketing for a number of companies, including HP Inc., Raymond James, and most recently, Tech Data.
Sanibel (Fla.) Captiva Beach Resorts promoted Jiri Vilim to Director of Engineering for all four Sanibel Captiva Beach Resorts and Sergii Melnychenko to Maintenance Manager for ‘Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa. Vilim has served various engineering positions for almost 10 years at ‘Tween Waters Island Resort & Spa. Melnychenko has served in various maintenance positions at the resort since 2012.
Bobby Jones Links hired Scott Ferrell as Vice President of Development. Prior to joining Bobby Jones Links, Ferrell spent 15 years as President of Gary Player Design, as well as 11 years in key marketing positions within the PGA TOUR’s TPC Network. Most recently, Ferrell served on the Board of OnLink, a golf course management software platform that was sold to John Deere Golf in 2019.
