The private club’s golf course has been in development for seven years, and the property offers multiple dining options, a day spa and wellness center, swimming pools, and sports shop.
Wickenburg (Ariz.) Ranch, a golf and social club, will open for play on February 7, 2015, providing the social and recreational hub for the Wickenburg Ranch master-planned community, the Phoenix-based CBS 5 reported.
Wickenburg Ranch has been groomed and refined for the past seven years, and will feature holes that traverse canyons and arroyos abutting the Prescott National Forest to the east and Vulture Peak to the south. Because of the elevation and relatively mild summer temperatures in Wickenburg, the course is able to maintain Bentgrass greens all year round, CBS 5 reported.
“This is an ideal piece of property for a superb desert golf experience,” said William Brownlee, a founder and partner in M3 Companies. “It has tremendous natural movement, incredible long-range views and spectacular land forms and features. Wendell and I were very careful and meticulous in the design process to ensure we utilized each of these to the greatest effect. Our goal was to simply accentuate what Mother Nature provided in order to create a golf experience as distinctive and unforgettable as the landscape.”
Though a private club by charter, Wickenburg Ranch will welcome a limited number of daily-fee guests during the club’s first season. Limited to 72 players per day and spaced in 12-minute tee time intervals, Wickenburg Ranch expects to draw both locals and visitors to the golf club, which will be purposely priced well below competitors. Non-member play will be offered Tuesday through Sunday only, with tee times starting on February 7 available to be booked beginning on January 12, CBS 5 reported.
“Wickenburg Ranch is a private club and it will be the centerpiece to the community we are building here. However, we are using this first year to share this unique golf experience with discerning players who will appreciate the opportunity,” said Brownlee. “We’ve priced the non-member golf rounds at an incredible value to encourage players to experience Wickenburg Ranch for themselves.”
To showcase the golf experience, Wickenburg Ranch invites Valley golfers to register for the opportunity to receive a complimentary foursome of golf during a special preview event on January 31. Recipients will be selected at random and all players in the event will receive golf, the Travis Mathew package, lunch, drinks, and more, CBS 5 reported.
In addition to golf, the club will provide multiple dining options, a state-of-the-art day spa and wellness center, swimming pools, sports shop and more, CBS 5 reported.
