With the increase popularity of social networking, the tool can be used for communication to the customers and to the company itself by getting the feedback it has been maybe lacking.
Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts, Secrets Resorts & Spas and Dreams Resorts & Spas launched online marketing campaign comprised of a series of contests offered for online users on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, blogs and forums.
“Social media affords us a direct avenue to connect with our guests and travel agents,” said Jan LaPointe, director of marketing & distribution for AMResorts. “These tools allow us to communicate as much as to listen. We want the travel community to know we hear them and look forward to continue expanding on the experiences they desire. That’s the power of social media.”
Secrets Resorts & Spas will kick off the program with “The Secret is Out” challenge. The contest, simultaneously hosted on the brand’s Twitter and Facebook pages, prompts users to ‘Become a Fan’ and share their Secrets Resorts & Spa experience. Fans that join by a certain deadline will have an opportunity to win a free 3-night Unlimited-Luxury stay at Secrets Capri, Secrets Maroma Beach and Secrets Silverands. Users can increase their chances to win by becoming a fan of all resorts and/or uploading a picture, video or review from their trip to the Facebook pages.
Each of the brands’ websites will also host dedicated blogs with ever-changing content (“The Well” – ZoetryResorts.com; “Tan Lines” – SecretsResorts.com; “Day Dreams” – DreamsResorts.com). Users will access the latest news straight from the resorts along with “inside looks,” special promotions and in-resort events, vacation planning tips and ideas on bringing the vacation experience home. From photos, videos and reviews, visitors are also encouraged to interact and share information on the sites.
