The Lincoln, Neb., property has been semi-private for the past few years, but has shifted its focus to private memberships. Members also have access to the club’s sister course, HiMark Golf Course.
As of January 1, Yankee Hill Country Club in Lincoln, Neb.,has become a fully private golf club offering memberships to individuals and families, the Lincoln-based Journal Star reported.
The property offers a championship-level golf course that stretches out to 7,000+ yards, a swimming pool, tennis courts, driving range, workout room, and a bevy of exclusive member tournaments and events, the Journal Star reported.
Yankee Hill’s golf course is a challenge for both the recreational and the serious golfer alike. After experiencing a much friendlier winter than in 2013-2014, Yankee Hill is excited about the upcoming season and the condition that the course will find itself in throughout the golf season, the Journal Star reported.
While Yankee Hill Country Club has been a semi-private golf course for the last several years with memberships available and public tee times open as well, the club has now shifted its focus to concentrate solely on private memberships. The club has over 30 member events planned for the upcoming season as it hopes to encourage friendly competition and new relationships through golf, the Journal Star reported.
Members at the club will still receive access to Yankee Hill’s sister course, HiMark Golf Course. The membership includes 45 holes of golf at one membership price. While HiMark Golf Course will continue to accept public tee times, you must be a member or play with a member to play Yankee Hill, the Journal Star reported.
By going private this year, Yankee Hill is looking to gain new members. They have promised to waive any initiation fee for all members who join in 2015. A wide variety of membership types are available, including discounts for juniors and those only looking to play on weekdays, the Journal Star reported.
Banquet facilities and meeting rooms are also available at both HiMark and Yankee Hill, and both locations can accommodate groups of all sizes. In addition to all of the facilities and activities available to members, members of Yankee Hill may also receive private room rental discounts depending on dates and availability. Yankee Hill will continue to allow non-member groups to host private events such as graduation parties, work meetings, and weddings in their numerous customizable banquet rooms, the Journal Star reported.
Yankee Hill currently only requires members to commit through the end of each calendar year, the Journal Star reported.
