Attendees of the event on January 22 at the Orange County National Golf Center in Winter Gardens, Fla. will be able to test-drive a new light utility vehicle for the UMAX® lineup and also see the new 2019 Drive2 EFI and Drive2 QuieTech models and the enhanced YamaTrack® YTX™ Fleet Management System.
Yamaha Golf-Car Company has announced that it will debut three innovative additions to its lineup at the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show’s Demo Day on Thursday, January 22 at the Orange County National Golf Center in Winter Garden, Fla.
At the Demo Day, for which Yamaha is a sponsor, the company will unveil a new light utility vehicle to join its successful UMAX® lineup; a new 2019 Drive2 EFI fleet car that will save customers 12.8% more miles to the gallon; and an enhanced YamaTrack® YTX™ Fleet Management System with industry-exclusive features.
The new light utility vehicle will be featured at the display area and test track located behind the Tee #2 box at Orange County National. Test rides will be available for the new vehicle as well as Yamaha’s Drive2 fleet golf car, featuring the QuieTech EFI technology that drives almost as quiet as an electric car.
Yamaha has announced its expansion of its award-winning* QuieTech Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) car and how the EFI system has become the sole source of power for all Yamaha gas vehicles since November 2018. The technologically advanced QuieTech EFI cars have been delivering industry-leading fuel economy; low-cost maintenance; 76% fewer pollutants than competitors; and 12.8% more miles to the gallon (45 MPG) over the competition since 2016.
“Our EFI engines are specifically designed, engineered, and manufactured by us to ensure that we are delivering the truest EFI cars possible, from the ground up,” said Tom McDonald, President of Yamaha Golf-Car Company. “We have been delivering the best to our customers for over 60 years now, and we look forward to doing so for the next 60 years through continuous innovations like these.”
Attendees at the PGA Merchandise Show Demo Day will also get to experience Yamaha’s new YamaTrack® YTX™ Fleet Management System featuring the industry-exclusive, dash-mounted 10.1″ LCD touch screen with Gorilla™ glass, 3-D graphics, and a complete suite of tools for course management. The GPS screen features precise to-the-pin yardage, 3-D hole flyovers, pro tips, customizable messaging, plus a prime opportunity to increase profits through food-and- beverage menu ordering accessible right from the screen.
YamaTrack® DNA includes live pace-of-play monitoring, geo-zones with alerts and car control (DC Electric only), fleet lockdown for security and all of the management reports needed to ensure proper fleet rotation and maintenance.
“We have used YamaTrack to track our play here at Stone Creek [Golf Club, in Valdosta, Ga.],” said Justin Sigmon, the club’s PGA Head Golf Professional and President of the Georgia PGA Central Chapter.
“[YamaTrack] allows us to see where cars are on the property,” added Sigmon, who was named the 2017 Georgia PGA Central Chapter Teacher of the Year. “We even had someone take a car without our knowledge. We were able to track the car on the computer and shut it down before it got away.
“We also really love the feature where you can geo-zone areas of the course where we want cars to be driven slower,” Sigmon added. “This really helps with the wear and tear of the cars over rough terrain.”
