KDG Capital, a real estate private equity firm that also recently bought the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado and the Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in New Jersey, has purchased the Snow King Resort Hotel in Jackson, Wyo. Kingwood International Resorts, which owns and operates other club and resort properties in Georgia and Florida, has purchased central Florida’s Reunion Resort near the Walt Disney World theme parks.
KDG Capital, a Tampa, Fla.-based real estate private equity firm, has purchased the Snow King Resort Hotel in Jackson, Wyo., Hotel Management reported.
Benchmark, a global hospitality company, will continue to operate and market the 230-room property, located at the foot of Snow King Mountain in the Grand Teton mountains, minutes from the center of Jackson Hole, Wyo. KDG plans to invest $5 million in capital improvements to the property, Hotel Management reported.

KDG Capital is a private equity firm focused on acquiring and operating full-service hospitality properties throughout the U.S,, Hotel Management reported. The company’s recent purchases include the Cheyenne Mountain Resort in Colorado Springs, Colo., and the Seaview Hotel and Golf Club in Galloway, N.J.

The Snow King Resort Hotel is part of the Benchmark Resorts & Hotels brand and offers 230 guestrooms, suites and vacation condos for vacation rentals, along with 10,000 square feet of meeting and event space, Hotel Management reported.
The resort’s Hayden’s Post Restaurant offers fine dining, while the Hayden’s Post Bar and Kitchen is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Other resort facilities include Olga’s Spa, a heated outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center and shuttle service to Jackson Hole Airport and other ski areas.
Kingwood International Resorts has purchased the AAA Four Diamond-rated Reunion Resort, located on 2,300 acres in Kissimmee, Fla. near the Walt Disney World theme parks.
Specializing in golf-centered clubs and resorts, Atlanta-based Kingwood International currently owns and operates Kingwood Country Club & Golf Resort and Achasta Golf Resort community, both in north Georgia, and the eco-friendly Plantation on Crystal River in central west Florida.
Kingwood’s purchase of Reunion Resort from real estate investment firm Lubert Adler was finalized on February 8.
Kingwood International said it has plans to make significant investments in Reunion Resort, such as the addition of 1,200 rental accommodations, including a new 400-room hotel with significant convention and meeting facilities to enhance the resort’s condominium and private home rentals.
There will also be an expansion of the multi-acre Reunion Resort Water Park, with the addition of a wave pool, new water slide, putt-putt golf and a larger, covered food-and-beverage offering.
Kingwood will enact growth initiatives for Reunion’s club membership as well, including expanded benefits to add exclusivity and value.
Reunion Resort features 360 resort-style accommodations ranging from luxury multi-room villas to private three- to 13-bedroom vacation homes, as well as 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
Widely recognized as a top golf destination, Reunion is the only location in the world featuring three signature championship golf courses designed by golfing legends Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tom Watson. Other amenities at the resort include seven casual and fine dining venues, including an award-winning rooftop steakhouse, elegant indoor and outdoor meeting space, six hydro-grid clay tennis courts, a full-service boutique spa, 10 community pools, fitness center and a five-acre waterpark.
