The project involves constructing a 43,705-square-foot clubhouse and a 4,150-square-foot new state-of-the-art building to complete The Learning Center at Galloping Hill.
A groundbreaking ceremony was held on Aug. 22 for two buildings at Galloping Hill Golf Course, Kenilworth, N.J., reports the Cranford Chronicle.
The project involves constructing two buildings, a 43,705-square-foot clubhouse and a 4,150-square-foot new state-of-the-art building to complete The Learning Center at Galloping Hill, the latter of which will consist of the TaylorMade Performance Lab, a fully stocked pro-shop and snack shop. Both projects will be completed within 14 months.
“This project will greatly enhance the offerings at Galloping Hill for all levels of golfers,” stated a spokesperson from the construction group. “We looks forward to completing this innovative and original assignment and we’re pleased that funds from the groundbreaking event will benefit local youth golf programs who will use the facility when it’s completed.”
Designed by Williard G. Wilkinson and opened in 1928, Galloping Hill Golf Course is a premier 18-hole facility with a state-of-the-art learning center and nine-hole practice course, called The Learning Center at Galloping Hill, which opened in 2009.
In January 2010, KemperSports began managing Galloping Hill and The Learning Center.
