Owners Jimmy and Paula Gurkin are retiring and looking to find a buyer for the 98-year-old course in Wilson, N.C. directly before taking the step of listing it.
Jimmy and Paula Gurkin who have owned the Willow Springs Country Club in Wilson, N.C. for 24 years, have announced they are set to put the property up for sale and are looking for a buyer. The 6,600-yard course, opened in 1915 and modeled on a Donald Ross design, has not yet been listed with a realtor, as the Gurkins are hoping to sell it themselves.
“We wanted to get the word out to prospective buyers now,” says Jimmy Gurkin, the course’s Director of Golf and a Class A PGA professional for over 40 years.
Amenities include a pro shop, snack bar, ballroom/dining room, ladies’ and men’s locker rooms, driving range, outdoor patios, practice putting green, chip and putt practice area, and swimming pool.
