The Club Managers Association of America has named Michael S. Wheeler, MCM, CCE, General Manager/Chief Operating Officer of Cherokee Town & Country Club, Atlanta, Ga., and Lawrence J. McKenzie, MCM, CCE, of London, Ontario, Canada, as Master Club Managers. The designation recognizes the importance of the significant contributions made by club managers to their clubs, professions and communities.
The Club Managers Association of America (CMAA) has named two new Master Club Managers. The MCM designation recognizes the importance of the significant, long-lasting contributions made by club managers to their clubs, professions and communities. In addition, the MCM designation in club management provides the means by which experienced club managers can make a significant written contribution to their industry.
The MCM designation was officially bestowed to these two deserving individuals at the Awards and Conference Finale of the recent 87th World Conference and Club Business Expo in Orlando, Fla., February 8, 2014:
• Michael S. Wheeler, MCM, CCE, General Manager/Chief Operating Officer of Cherokee Town & Country Club, Atlanta, Ga. Wheeler’s monograph is titled: Club Culture: Are Your Practicing What You Believe In?
• Lawrence J. McKenzie, MCM, CCE, of London, Ontario, Canada. McKenzie’s monograph is titled: An Economically Sustainable Business Model for Private Clubs: A Blueprint to Prosperity in the 21st Century.
