Following six decades of year-round operation, Lakeview Golf Resort in Morgantown, W. Va. went to a seasonal schedule. Tim Bucklew, Director of Sales, Marketing and Golf, understands the concern prompted by the change, but assures that “we haven’t gone anywhere” and that no sale or closing is in the offing. The resort is planning a 65-year “Birthday Bash” as part of its reopening.
Lakeview Golf Resort in Morgantown, W.Va., will reopen its hotel doors on April 1, following an inaugural seasonal break. The all-inclusive golf and conference resort will celebrate its 65 years in business with a “Birthday Bash” early in the month.
“We understand there was concern from the community when we decided to operate seasonally,” said Tim Bucklew, Director of Sales, Marketing and Golf. “‘[There were questions such as] ‘Is it closing for good?’ ‘Was the property sold?’
“We are proud to say, ‘We haven’t gone anywhere,’ “ Bucklew assured. “This community and the services we provide to it are vitally important to us, and we look forward to reopening our hotel doors on April 1st.”
Lakeview Golf Resort is home to two golf courses—the Lakeview Course and Mountainview Course—as well as a 40,000-sq.-ft. Fitness and Sports Center, 30,000 sq. ft. of meeting space and a pair of restaurants.
