Police were called to Rochester G&CC at 10 p.m. on Saturday night, May 10, after a fight broke out in the parking lot that involved over 20 people and left one man injured. Three arrests were made.
A wedding party at the Rochester (Minn.) Golf & Country Club took an ugly turn on Saturday night, May 10, spurring a melee involving up to 25 people, the Rochester Post-Bulletin reported. One person was injured, and at least three people were arrested, according to the Post-Bulletin’s report.
Rochester Police Lt. Tim Kaase reported to the Post-Bulletin on the following morning that officers were called to the club at about 10 p.m. on the night of the 10th to deal with a fight in the parking lot.
Police arrived to find an agitated crowd of 20 to 25 people in the parking lot and an injured man on the ground, the Post-Bulletin reported. An ambulance went to the scene, and initial reports didn’t indicate the extent of the man’s injuries.
Witnesses reported that an argument inside the country club spilled into the parking lot, the Post-Bulletin reported. Some 20 to 25 people were seen fighting or attempting to break up a fight.
Three people, a man and two women, were charged at the scene, the Post-Bulletin reported. The 24-year-old man, who was not a Rochester resident, according to police, was charged with fifth-degree assault, disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process.
A 49-year-old woman who also is not a Rochester resident was charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process, the Post-Bulletin reported, and a 22-year-old Rochester woman was also charged with disorderly conduct.
Police were continuing to investigate the incident on Sunday, May 11, the Post-Bulletin reported.
