The 1,200-sq. ft. circuit-training space, scheduled for completion by August 2021, will be located adjacent to the Naples, Fla. community’s 15,000-sq. ft. Wellness Center and Spa. It will be constructed from galvanized steel anchored into the ground with structural elements designed to provide maximum weather-proofing and outdoor usage, and a weather-resistant, low-maintenance and durable floor surface made from permanent, poured-in-place elastic surfacing.
Vineyards Country Club in Naples, Fla. has announced plans to add a 1,200-sq. ft. outdoor circuit-training facility adjacent to the community’s 15,000-sq. ft. Wellness Center and Spa.
Initial site preparation, including ground and landscaping work, for the project is scheduled to begin in early summer, with full completion slated for August 2021. The addition will serve as a functional training facility, with Vineyards’ fitness instructors utiliziing the facility to specialize in small-group training, one-on-one training, outdoor yoga, and balance and circuit classes. Those types of programs will be offered throughout the year, with a focus on high-season usage throughout the months of December through May, when the southwest Florida weather is most conducive to outdoor training.
The facility will be constructed from galvanized steel anchored into the ground. The structural elements will include TRX™, or total body resistance, training equipment made with Kevlar, as well as urethane-coated kettlebells and dumbbells, and vinyl-covered resistance bands, all designed to provide maximum weather-proofing and outdoor usage.
The floor surface of the training facility will consist of eco-friendly, recycled, permanent poured-in-place elastic surfacing made from ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM). EPDM granular rubber surfaces are high-quality, weather-resistant, low-maintenance and durable, and are used in other outdoor fitness facilities and playgrounds in more than 60 countries across all continents.
“We are very pleased to introduce continued improvements within Vineyards Country Club,” said Paul Malonson, Vineyards CC’s Chief Operating Officer/General Manager. “This great new training area will offer a multitude of additional fitness and training options in a safe, hygienic setting suitable for our member athletes of all ages.”
In 2019, the design and construction of Vineyards CC’s 15,000-sq. ft., stand-alone Wellness Center and Spa was completed by contractor Premiere Builders. The facility received the Collier Building Industry Association’s 2019 Sand Dollar Award for Interior Design of the Year and the South Florida Hospitality Industry Network honored the project with its 2019 Golden Palm Award for excellence.
