Vineyards Country Club recently planted an herb garden to promote wellness and enhance the culinary experience; herbs from the garden are used in all of the club’s food and beverage menu items, the Daily News reported. Custom planters were built in front of the facility’s administration wing, where plants receive four to six hours of daily sunlight. Another Blue Zones Project best practice, the community’s herb garden includes basil, rosemary, thyme, dill, parsley, cilantro, chives, bay leaves, oregano, lemongrass, mint, and peppermint.
