The company, which is a subsidiary of VICI Properties, a spin-off from Caesars Entertainment Operating Company, which recently emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy, now owns and operates Cascata in Boulder City, Nev.; Rio Secco Golf Club in Henderson, Nev.; Chariot Run Golf Course in Laconia, Ind.; and Grand Bear in Saucier, Miss.
VICI Golf LLC has announced it will own and operate the following championship golf courses: Cascata in Boulder City, Nev.; Rio Secco Golf Club in Henderson, Nev.; Chariot Run Golf Course in Laconia, Ind.; and Grand Bear in Saucier, Miss.
VICI Properties, of which VICI Golf is a subsidiary, was formed on October 6, 2017 after it completed its spin-off from Caesars Entertainment Operating Company, Inc., (CEOC) a subsidiary of Caesars Entertainment Corporation. VICI Properties’ spin-off follows CEOC’s successful financial restructuring and emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy, having satisfied all of the conditions to the effectiveness of its plan of reorganization.
“Our long-term strategy is to create the nation’s highest quality and most productive experiential real estate portfolio and run four of the best golf courses in the world,” said John Payne, Chief Operating Officer of VICI Properties. “Providing enduring value to our guests is key to building loyalty, and that is exactly what we plan to do by offering exceptional service and products.”
In addition to its four championship golf courses, VICI Properties’ portfolio includes 19 gaming facilities, including the world-renowned Caesars Palace Las Vegas. The company’s properties are leased to Caesars and operate under brands such as Caesars, Horseshoe, Harrah’s and Bally’s, and feature approximately 32.5 million sq. ft. of space, 12,000 hotel rooms and more than 150 restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
The company’s golf courses were previously operated by Caesars Entertainment Outdoor, which was wholly-owned by CEOC prior to VICI Properties’ emergence as an independent, standalone company.
Rio Secco Golf Club will reopen on Tuesday, October 10 after undergoing an extensive $2 million renovation overseen by premier golf course architect Rees Jones. The 18-hole course will feature new greens, renovated bunkers and an expanded practice facility. C&RB included the property in a November 2014 Golf Programs feature.
