Kurt Steeber has been named Executive Chef at Ventana Inn & Spa in Big Sur, Calif., where he will be responsible for all culinary production. Steeber will direct the daily operation of the resort’s signature restaurant, Cielo, as well as the development of menus for weddings, specials events and executive retreats held in the resort’s newly built meeting space.
Most recently, Steeber served as Executive Chef at two Ohio-based restaurants: Ballantine, a 4,000-sq.-ft. gastropub in Willoughby, a Cleveland suburb, and Great Lakes Brewing Company in Cleveland.
