Great American Golf Stories—edited by Jeff Silverman—is a collection of classic non-fiction and fiction writings about the game of golf. The anthology includes pieces written by Grantland Rice, Ring Lardner, Walter Hagen and F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Silverman, a former columnist for the Los Angeles Herald Examiner, has written stories for the New York Times, Sports Illustrated and several other publications. He’s also edited The Greatest Baseball Stories Ever Told, The Greatest Boxing Stories Ever Told, and a few other anthologies.
The 315-page book was published by Lyons Press, an imprint of Globe Pequot, the trade division of The Rowmand & Littlefield Publishing Co.
