Springdale, Ark.-based Tyson Food Service has been named by operators as the top-performing manufacturer for the seventh consecutive year in the nationwide FoodservicElite® Industry Ranking study, conducted by Cognitio, LLC and Kantar Retail. The study identifies Elite manufacturers as evaluated by their trading partners and analyzes the manufacturers’ best-practice behaviors.
Tyson Food Service achieved strong ratings based on its ability to help operators manage their overall business through its continued focus on innovation, development of traffic-driving insights, holistic profit management mindset, senior-level collaboration and the ability to receive and react to operator feedback.
A total of 465 foodservice operators participated in the 2010 FoodservicElite study. Operators were asked to rank their manufacturing partners on a series of criteria falling under two broad areas:
- Strategic measures (i.e., clarity of company strategy, combination of growth and profitability, best products/brands)
- Business fundamental measures (i.e., sales force/broker teams, customer service, provision of helpful actionable information)
