Two members of Pine Brook Country Club are planning to purchase the Winston-Salem, N.C., facility from the club’s membership for an undisclosed price, the Winston-Salem Journal reported.
Lynn Murphy and Lynette Matthews-Murphy, who wholly own Maple Plantation LLC, said they have been members of the country club since the early 1990s. The club was founded in 1954, the Journal reported.
In a press release, the couple said they plan to close on the sale by December 15. They also plan to upgrade the golf course, clubhouse and food and beverage selections, the Journal reported.
Murphy is President and chief executive of Gateway Management Services Ltd., while Matthews-Murphy is the founder and partner of Spring House Restaurant, Kitchen & Bar, the Journal reported.
Signature Real Estate LLC will oversee all aspects of the club’s re-design and operation. Sutton Slawter, President of Signature, said changes to the golf course “will be aesthetically-pleasing, and will return the course closer to its original design. Plans include a new, larger putting green and practice area, the Journal reported.
Timothy Grandinetti, Executive Chef and partner of Spring House, will manage the club’s food and beverage services, the Journal reported.
