Ocala National Golf Club in Ocala, Fla., which was revamped by Rees Jones in 2002, has been purchased by Four Seasons Golf. Halifax Golf Club, LLC has purchased the semi-private Halifax Plantation Golf Club in Ormond Beach, Fla., which features an 18-hole golf course, swimming pool, tennis courts, and clubhouse.
Ocala National Golf Club in Ocala, Fla., has been purchased by Four Seasons Golf. Ocala National, previously owned by Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club, was completely redone by famed golf architect, Rees Jones, on the heels of his renovation of the Bethpage Black Course for the 2002 US Open.
Halifax Plantation Golf Club in Ormond Beach, Fla., has been purchased by Halifax Golf Club, LLC, a South Carolina based Limited Liability Corporation.
The full-service semi-private club features an 18-hole championship-caliber course designed by William Amick, a swimming pool, tennis courts and clubhouse. The seller was Halifax Plantation Golf, Inc., Halifax Plantation, Inc., and Halifax Plantation Golf Management.
The club serves as the primary recreation, social and dining amenity to the Halifax Plantation community. The property features the Tavern By The Green Restaurant, and a Grand Ballroom that can accommodate up to 250 guests.
The buyer group is an affiliate of Wingfield Golf Management Services LLC, which is a successor of Golf South. The principals, Barton Tuck and his son Noel, have developed more than twenty golf and country clubs and managed over 50 clubs throughout the Southeast United States.
