The Scottsdale, Ariz. club, which recently renovated its Monument and Pinnacle courses, introduced technology that allows golfers to play a variety of fun and skill-based games, compete against friends, see their shots traced, and receive instant data on their own smart phone or tablet.
Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz. unveiled its new Toptracer Range on its practice range. Toptracer Range delivers the same ball-tracking technology (including total distance, carry distance, ball speed and launch angle) that traces the shots of the best players in the game on television. Troon North’s Toptracer Range is currently available daily for guests warming up for their rounds on the club’s Monument or Pinnacle courses.
With Troon North’s Toptracer Range, guests hit Callaway golf balls off of real grass and receive instant shot data in the palm of their hand through the Toptracer Range mobile app. Shots are recorded so that golfers can make swing adjustments and immediately see the impact on their golf shots. Through the truly interactive and individualized experience, guests of all ages and ability levels can play a variety of fun and skill-based games, compete against friends, see their shots traced, and receive instant data on their own smart phone or tablet.
“Adding Toptracer as an additional amenity and experience for our members and playing guests is very exciting,” said Troon North Golf Club General Manager Brian Thorne. “The additional features that Toptracer provides will also allow us to offer different options to groups and events.”
Recent course renovations by original designer and Open Champion Tom Weiskopf have created two new layouts that bring his original concept to life. Both courses have been recognized in numerous rankings since the facility opened in 1990.
