The Scottsdale, Ariz., property will debut the updated facility in December, featuring an entirely new look, with a new 9,000-sq. ft. wellness center, library that will serve as a multipurpose meeting room, renovated Quail’s Nest Lounge with a larger bar, and an expanded golf shop.
Troon Country Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., will debut its new clubhouse this December. Construction crews are working towards completion of the $7.5 million clubhouse expansion and renovation that will provide members with new and expanded club amenities.
The original Troon Country Club clubhouse was built in 1986 and has undergone two partial renovations, one in 1997 and one in 2003, but neither was as large and all-encompassing as the current project. Douglas Fredrikson Architects of Phoenix, the original clubhouse architect more than 30 years ago, is overseeing the renovation and expansion.
“Members and their guests will be amazed by the new Troon Country Club clubhouse,” said General Manager Garrett Wallace. “The renovations and expansion allow us to elevate every aspect of the member experience and solidify Troon Country Club’s place as the premier private club in Scottsdale.”
When it opens in December, the Troon Country Club clubhouse will have an entirely new look and feel as the overall décor and clubhouse appointments have all been updated. A second floor has been added on the north side of the building and will be home to a 9,000-sq. ft. wellness center. On the first floor, a new library will serve as a multipurpose member activity and meeting room, while a remodeled Quail’s Nest lounge will include a larger, golf course-and-mountain-facing bar and an expanded outdoor dining area with spectacular views of Pinnacle Peak.
In addition, the golf shop will increase in size and the club will debut a new casual Members’ Grille. Enhancements are also being made to the clubhouse arrival experience at the porte cochere and entry hall.
Even with all of the clubhouse construction activity, the club recently hosted the 74th Arizona Open Championship, played August 17 – 19.
As clubhouse construction moves into its final phase, the club has unveiled a revitalized sport/social membership option called the Signature Membership, providing amenities, service and exclusivity along with generous seasonal golf benefits.
