Yorba Linda Country Club and Lomas Santa Fe Country Club will be under the Troon Privé umbrella, while Tustin Ranch Golf Club will be managed by Troon Golf. All three properties are owned by Sanyo Foods Corporation of America.
Troon has been selected to manage three Southern California golf courses owned by Garden Grove-based Sanyo Foods Corporation of America, including Yorba Linda Country Club in Yorba Linda, Lomas Santa Fe Country Club in Solana Beach, and Tustin Ranch Golf Club in Tustin.
Troon Privé, the private club operating division of Troon, will oversee operations of Yorba Linda Country Club and Lomas Santa Fe Country Club, while Troon Golf, the resort and daily-fee club operations division of Troon, will manage all operations at Tustin Ranch Golf Club.
“Troon’s proven track record of providing lifestyle excellence, operational effectiveness, along with the company’s focus on member and guest satisfaction, are ultimately what led us to select Troon to manage our three clubs,” said Nobu Taira, General Manager, Sanyo Foods Corporation of America. “Partnering with Troon will ensure our investments are protected and our member and guest experiences are best in class.”
Yorba Linda Country Club is set in the rolling hills of North Orange County, not far from the Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Museum. The club’s Harold Rainville-designed course opened in 1957, plays to a par of 71 and measures 6,834 yards. The golf practice facility includes a practice range, a large putting green and a short-game practice area. Yorba Linda’s clubhouse features an elegant formal dining room; a casual members’ grill; men’s and women’s locker rooms; a full-service golf and tennis pro shop; and a variety of meeting rooms and banquet facilities. Club amenities include eight lighted tennis courts, a heated Junior Olympic-sized swimming pool and a wading pool.
Located 20 miles north of San Diego, Lomas Santa Fe Country Club features a spectacular William Bell-designed par 72 layout with sweeping ocean views and wide fairways. In addition to golf, Lomas Santa Fe offers an array of social and recreational amenities, including 14 tennis courts, four pickleball courts, a heated 25-meter lap pool, a children’s pool and a fitness center with private training and spa services. The clubhouse provides golf course and Pacific Ocean views and features a formal dining room, a members’ grill and bar, men’s and women’s locker rooms, and a pro shop.
Tustin Ranch Golf Club features a signature Ted Robinson-designed golf course and a spectacular clubhouse. The 6,842-yard, par-72, 160-acre course is the centerpiece of the Tustin Ranch community. The course opened for daily-fee play in 1989. Tustin Ranch’s clubhouse includes a golf shop, the popular Restaurant at Tustin Ranch, the Players’ Lounge and multiple event spaces with floor-to-ceiling views of the golf course, lakes and blooming flora.
“We are thrilled to be working with Sanyo Foods and with three well-regarded facilities,” said Troon Senior Vice President of Operations Jim Richerson, PGA. “Our agronomy teams are eager to improve conditions at each course, while our operations teams will immediately seek to elevate service standards and the member/guest experiences.”
