Hollman, Inc., the Irving, Texas-based manufacturer of wood lockers and racquetball/squash courts, has named Travis Hollman as its new President. Travis is taking over from his father, Joe Hollman, who started the company 39 years ago. Hollman employs over 200 people in Irving, Texas, with 100 new jobs added since 2010.
Travis’ plans for future innovation include adding automated controls to the manufacturing lines, which will increase the speed and precision of each job, as well as providing progress updates to customers. Travis is also working to develop a new series of custom all-plastic lockers, providing infinite finish options for high moisture environments.
Hollman, Inc., building lockers and courts since 1976, has found success by continually developing new products for its customers. First with racquetball and squash courts, Hollman was instrumental in moving the industry to the panelized wall systems now found in 97% of courts world-wide.
On the locker side of the business, Hollman realized the structural and longevity advantages of building lockers using veneered wood, and invented processes for veneering design elements on doors that allowed top-quality details previously impossible with veneer (Hollman holds patents on these processes). Recently, Hollman has been working to integrate modern materials, including glass and solid surface, into locker designs.
