A fundraiser held September 8 at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas raised money for the family of Las Vegas Police Officer David Vanbuskirk, the Las Vegas-based KTNV Channel 13 reported.
Vanbuskirk died in July during a hiker rescue mission on Mount Charleston, KTNV reported.
Instructors gave 30-minute golf lessons at $150 each, with 100 percent of the cost donated to the family, KTNV reported.
TPC Summerlin’s Mike Messner told KTNV: “There isn’t a single penny that TPC Summerlin or any of the golf professionals are taking—this will all go back to the Vanbuskirk family.”
The event continued until the sun went down on Sunday, KTNV reported.
