The Duluth, Ga. club upgraded its restaurant, RYE KITCHEN & BAR, and also extended the outdoor patio area and created a new wine cellar, full-service bar and new banquet kitchen. The wine cellar, which can be seen at the restaurant entrance, holds 2,200 bottles of wine, of which 92 blocks will be member-designated lockers to reserve their private selections.
TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Ga. has completed a major clubhouse expansion as part of an overall renovation project that includes updated greens, fairways and bunkers on the Pines Course, as well as Lifestyle Center upgrades featuring state-of-the-art amenities designed to enrich the member experience.
The recently renovated clubhouse pays homage to the property’s history, featuring an upgraded restaurant, RYE KITCHEN & BAR, an extended outdoor patio area, and a new wine cellar, full-service bar, and banquet kitchen.
Completing renovations of the main clubhouse ahead of schedule, TPC Sugarloaf’s new restaurant is a combination of hardwood and metal accents. Increasing the amount of seating from 56 to 110, guests can enjoy a view overlooking the recently renovated golf course, specifically the 18th hole and across the lake to the 12th fairway from the newly remodeled 32-foot covered patio. The atmosphere at RYE KITCHEN & BAR features a blend of modern décor with farmhouse detailing.
The showpieces of the restaurant are the wine cellar and the architectural design of the bar. The wine cellar can be seen at the restaurant entrance holding 2,200 bottles of wine, of which 92 blocks will be member-designated lockers to reserve their private selections. The horseshoe-shaped bar will serve 8 to 12 local beers on tap and a collection of more than 20 rye whiskeys. The high-top tables and bar top are dark sleek cedar timbers, creating a rustic aesthetic against the blend of hardwood floor and shiplap ceiling.
“It is really an exciting time to be a member of TPC Sugarloaf,” said General Manager Mike Maloney. “The enhancements that were made to both of the clubhouses, coupled with the renovation on the golf courses, really positions the club for success well into the future.”
TPC Sugarloaf hosts the PGA TOUR Champions’ Mitsubishi Electric Classic.
