On April 15, one of four finalists could win $1 million by making a 165-yard shot on the Lincoln, Calif., club’s 18th hole at the 18th annual William Jessup University Warrior Golf Classic. The fundraiser benefits the Jessup Athletic Association and The First Tee of Greater Sacramento.
At the 18th annual William Jessup University Warrior Golf Classic on April 15 at Catta Verdera Country Club in Lincoln, Calif., one golfer could walk away with $1 million.
The four finalists of the $1 Million Shoot-Out, which is sponsored by Halldin Public Relations, will launch one shot at the club’s scenic 18th hole. If the fairway shot, from at least 165 yards, lands in the hole, the golfer will win $1 million.
The Shoot-Out is a fundraiser for the Jessup Athletic Association and The First Tee of Greater Sacramento, a youth organization that sponsors golf programs for teens and the disabled. All proceeds will go to support both 501c3 nonprofit organizations.
Initial qualifying for the $1 Million Shoot-Out takes place from April 1 through April 10 at the Haggin Oaks Golf Course at a designated Par 3 hole (behind the driving range). Contestants must be age 12 or older to be eligible. The weekday qualifying times are 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekend times run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each contestant’s tee shot must be witnessed by authorized personnel during qualifying and final rounds.
Cost to participate in the Shoot-out is $10 per ticket. Each ticket gives the participant five tee shots for closest-to-the-hole that day at Haggin Oaks. The top two qualifiers each day will be notified and are invited back to Haggin Oaks for a semi-final qualifying round April 10. Golf professionals are eligible to participate.
The top four finalists at the semi-qualifying round receive:
- Free entry into the Warrior Golf Classic at Catta Verdera Country Club
- One ticket entry for the tournament’s general raffle
- Contest participation in the $1 Million Shoot-out that evening at Catta Verdera Country Club
