The South Course at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego will play host to the LPGA Tour’s Samsung World Championship this September, the second time an LPGA tournament will be played at the course since 1983.

Jon Maddern, CGCS, is a former GCSAA President and currently the Golf Operations Manager for Torrey Pines. John Miller, CGCS, is GCSAA’s LPGA Tour agronomist. The event is a 72-hole, stroke-play tournament with an elite 20-player field that includes the winners of the season’s four LPGA majors.
