One of the most respected golf courses along the South Carolina coast will close for about five weeks for a summer renovation. According to USA Today, the management company for Tidewater Golf Club & Plantation, located in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., will close on June 22.
Some of the work to be done includes adding new tees, along with improving and resodding current tee boxes. Workers will also start projects to control erosion on the 10th hole, and improve drainage on some fairways and greens.
The plan is for Tidewater to reopen by August 1.
