From the moment the coronavirus outbreak forced Greenwich (Conn.) Country Club to close on March 13, General Manager Keith Armstrong and his staff began to identify and document best practices and principles that would not only address immediate safety concerns, but also serve as a roadmap for how to ensure proper member/team interaction as a return to operations began. The initiative quickly grew into a collaborative effort, “The Visionary Project,” that has now involved over 4,000 hours of research and input from over 50 clubs and 100 club managers, to produce a comprehensive, 132-page guide for all aspects of the club business. In this episode of C+RB’s video series, Armstrong describes how “The Visionary Project” will continue to evolve as an essential part of post-pandemic club management.
