(New Jersey state capitol)
Located near the state capitol building, the private club will seek to attract membership from lobbyists and others involved with New Jersey government and politics. Food-and-beverage offerings will include a signature “Trenton Makes” cocktail, as an homage to the famous “Trenton Makes, the World Takes” sign on one of the city’s bridges.
Insiders in Trenton, N.J., the state capital, now have a new place where they can meet with clients and sources, lobbyists and others involved with the political process and decision-making at New Jersey’s highest levels of government, NJBiz.com reported.
The new venue is The Lobby Club, a private, members-only club and restaurant nestled between the Statehouse complex and Trenton’s downtown district that opened on October 15th, NJBiz.com reported.
The private restaurant was designed with “professionals, politicians, lobbyists, legislative aides and judges” in mind, according to General Manager Tara Burns, NJBiz.com reported.
“It has been a long time since the owners created The Lobby Club concept – a place to have a quick lunch, a quiet dinner or a brandy with colleagues after a long day,” Burns said.
“Like everyone, we too were impacted by COVID, but are now so excited to welcome our members and guests to a place that Trenton and its business community have been in need of for years,” Burns continued.
The club offers varying levels of membership, each with its own additional perks, NJBiz.com reported. For example, “Platinum” and “Gold” members will soon have access to the 2,500-sq. ft. “Apex Executive Center” on the second floor where they can conduct business.
The Apex Center will feature four conference rooms, each with full audio-visual and video conferencing capabilities, along with a lounge that has flexible seating that can be transformed into an event space to accommodate gatherings for up to 60 guests.
Membership prices range from a $500 initiation and $50 per month fee for government employees, to Gold memberships for businesses or individuals, which respectively cost $5,000 to join and $450 per month, or $2,000 to join and $250 a month. Prospective Platinum members will pay $10,000 to join and $750 a month in membership fees.
The club will serve lunch and dinner throughout the week — everything from burgers to steaks, salads to sandwiches and seafood, created by a staff headed by Executive Chef Sean Browne. It will also have top-shelf drink options, including a signature “Trenton Makes” cocktail—an homage to the famous sign on the Lower Trenton Bridge that brings people into Trenton across the Delaware River that displays the slogan, “Trenton Makes, The World Takes.”
The club will also have private dining rooms that can host up to 30 guests.
For a limited time, prospective members may dine for lunch and tour the club by reservation only.
