Phase one of the project at the Savannah, Ga. property includes the debut of a new pool complex that includes a pirate’s ship water feature, and a new restaurant, The Deck at Franklin Creek. Phases two and three will include a new 23,500-sq. ft. clubhouse and pool complex at the property’s Marshwood Clubhouse, as well as a fitness expansion and redesign at its Oakridge Wellness Center.
The Landings Club in Savannah, Ga. officially opened its newest offering on January 3—a resort-style pool complex and a new food-and-beverage location, The Deck at Franklin Creek, the Savannah Morning News reported.
The addition is phase one of a $25 million revitalization project directly answering the needs of Landings Club members today and in the future, the Morning News reported. Already, The Deck at Franklin Creek and pool complex has created nearly 30 new jobs for the Savannah community.
“While the inclusion of The Deck in our capital plan had some starts, stops and starts again, it’s clear that those who proposed The Deck in 2013 saw where the market and member desires were headed,” said Executive Director Steven Freund.
“Our Capital Project Committee and design-build team took that idea and translated it into a beautiful design that will serve members looking for that fast, casual place that’s an extension of their homes and a gathering place for all generations of members,” Freund added.
The resort-style pool complex features a zero-entry pool, two slides and a child’s splash pad complete with a pirate’s ship water feature, the Morning News reported.
The Deck at Franklin Creek is a 4,500-sq.-ft.. fast-casual dining facility, the first of its kind for members of The Landings Club. The new restaurant, fully equipped with an outdoor bar, TVs and three-layer pizza oven, will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Morning News reported.
Phases two and three of the Landings Club revitalization project will include a new 23,500-sq. ft. clubhouse and pool complex at Marshwood Clubhouse, as well as a fitness expansion and redesign at Oakridge Wellness Center, the Morning News reported.
Members of The Landings Club voted to approve the overall project, with construction taking place through the end of 2019.
