The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club and The Concession Golf Club are teaming up with Laser Link Golf to offer a new—and perhaps the ultimate—way for members to show a great caddie just how much they care.

Club members often develop affection for, and close relationships with, their regular caddies, and frequently seek ways to express their appreciation for how those caddies help add to their enjoyment of the game. These gestures can take the form of everything from generous after-round tips to year-end gifts to contributions to scholarship funds and other forms of assistance for them and their families.

Now, in Sarasota, Fla., The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club and The Concession Golf Club are teaming up with Laser Link Golf to offer a new—and perhaps the ultimate—way for members to show a great caddie just how much they care. The first-ever Member/Caddie National Tournament has been scheduled to be held at those courses from November 6-8. Registration is now open for teams of four, comprised of three members and one caddie. The entry fee of $895/person or $2,685/team (the caddie’s entry is complimentary) includes all golf, a cart for the team, an opening reception, meals during the tournament, and the awards ceremony.

Scoring for the golf competition will be determined from the two best balls out of four net scores, based on 80 percent handicap.

“Members of clubs around the country develop special bonds with their caddies, similar to that of a PGA professionals and their caddies,” stated Glen Murray, Director of Golf for The Ritz-Carlton Members Golf Club.  “This tournament is a fun way to bring players and their caddies together to compete side-by-side against other like-minded golfers from all over the country.”

The practice round for the two-day tournament begins November 6, with golfers playing at either course, and that day will conclude with a cocktail reception.

The first round of the tournament will be November 7 at The Ritz-Carlton Members Club, with a shotgun start at noon. The final round will be the following day at The Concession Golf Club, with a lunch buffet at 11 a.m. and a shotgun start is at noon. Scoring, cocktails, dinner and awards will follow on the Event Lawn of The Concession.
