The Row, Tetherow Golf Club’s new pub, officially opened for business on December 23.
The Row offers more than 30 bottled beers and 12 taps that feature numerous local brews, cider and one nitro. Executive Chef Zac Hoffman has crafted a menu of upscale comfort food with fresh ingredients. A nod to the Bend, Ore., club’s Scottish heritage, a few classics such as a huntsman platter and Scotch eggs co-exist alongside contemporary dishes such as hamburgers, flatbread pizzas and salads.
“The name ‘The Row’ was many years in the making,” said Kevin Gilman, Food and Beverage Director. “For years, our regulars shortened the word Tetherow into ‘The Row.’ We chose it as the name for our new facility to pay homage to our loyal patrons.”
Abundant use of natural elements and clean lines gives The Row a warm, welcoming atmosphere that blends well with its natural surroundings. The Row not only borders the Deschutes National Forest, but also provides views of the Cascade range from Mt. Bachelor to Mt. Hood. Wall accents are crafted from lodge pole pine cross-sections, flooring is made of end-cut Douglas fir, and the bar countertops are composed of Red Dragon granite and black walnut.
Guests can enjoy a variety of sporting events on the four televisions or grab a drink before their round of golf. Minutes from downtown, The Row provides a new element to the dynamic dining scene in Bend.
The Row is the latest in a string of expansion and construction projects at Tetherow. It opened a new golf academy and event pavilion in 2013 and is currently building overnight accommodations, which are scheduled to open in April 2014. The Tetherow Grill, which originally opened in 2009 with a fine dining menu, remains open seven days a week. Reservations are recommended.
