See will try to build membership and grow the tennis program.
After spending over five years as a pro at The Landings, See is headed to Cypress Lake Country Club, Fort Meyers, Fla., to be the Director of Tennis.
“It’s just my third club since 1985,” See told The News-Press. “The opportunity to be the director and do some programming is exciting. It’s a smaller club that needs to be built back up. I feel that’s a strength of mine.”
An influx of members will bring some much needed change to the club, which has two senior men’s teams and no women’s teams.
“I hope to get more activity going,” said See. “I’m trying to put together evening play and evening clinics since a lot of people work during the day.”
The club, built in 1959, is one of the older ones in the area. There are four clay courts and two hard.
“The clay courts are in very good shape,” said See. “The plan is to convert the two hardcourts eventually. There will be room to build one more court after that. It’s a wonderful challenge.”
