“The name change is about the evolution of the club’s personality and character; we have grown to be so much more than a golf club,” said Rick Burkardt, General Manager of the Dublin, Ohio club, which is home to an Arnold Palmer Signature golf course. A $2.1 million clubhouse transformation, new fitness center and expanded programming have helped to reshape the Arcis Golf property.
The Club at Tartan Fields, an Arcis Golf property in Dublin, Ohio, has adapted a new name that is no longer defined by golf alone.
“Beyond mere words, the name change is about the evolution of the club’s personality and character,” said General Manager Rick Burkardt. “We have grown to be so much more than a golf club. While golf remains important to the membership, The Club at Tartan Fields has become more family-centric and has an amazing array of lifestyle offerings.”
Home to an Arnold Palmer Signature golf course, The Club at Tartan Fields (formerly Tartan Fields Golf Club) blends the time-honored traditions of golf with amenities that support a variety of interests, including tennis, swimming, and fitness. A new state-of-the-art fitness facility and expanded programming address the membership’s desire to enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle.
Arcis Golf has also invested $2.1 million to transform the clubhouse, including a new dining area, bar, and multi-level patio with fire features.
The Club at Tartan Fields, a cornerstone of a community located just north of Columbus, Ohio, hosts numerous special events, meetings and fundraisers for non-profits, and is a popular weddings venue. Its 18-hole golf course debuted in 1998 and was enhanced by a recent bunker renewal program.
“The golf course will maintain its standards of excellence,” explained Burkardt. “But the Tartan Fields you see today is not a golf-only club, which the former name might imply.
“The new name befits the club’s true identity and is a better representation of our membership’s strength and relationship to the community,” Burkardt added. “As word spreads about The Club at Tartan Fields and all it has to offer, I anticipate people will want to be part of it.”
Added Blake Walker, Chairman and CEO of Dallas, Texas-based Arcis Golf: “The Club at Tartan Fields has been transformed and now offers a more vibrant member experience. The capital projects that have been completed and the unrivaled programming put into place have created a completely new lifestyle environment.”
