Tamarack Golf Club in Labrador City, Newfoundland, Canada is celebrating its 50th anniversary, reports The Aurora. The first course was built on Tamarack Street in Labrador City in 1968.
In 1972, the golf club moved to its current location and grew into a full 18-hole course with a clubhouse that is open from the end of May or the first week of June each season. It closes near the end of September or the first part of October—depending on the weather patterns each year.
August 6 through August 12, 2018, the club’s 50-year celebration will be in full swing, to celebrate the golf, social, educational and physical fitness benefits within the community.
The club’s clubhouse includes a pro shop with equipment rentals and golf gear. The kitchen is open seven days a week for its members and the public.
