Dick’s Sporting Goods won a bankruptcy auction for the golf specialty retailer on October 21, and plans to keep at least 30 Golfsmith stores open, keeping about 500 of the company’s employees. Golfsmith filed for bankruptcy last month and had 109 open stores at the time.
