The upscale project is being developed by The Discovery Land Company, and will feature 245 homes, an 18-hole golf course, and $250 million worth of amenities, including an organic community garden, spa, equestrian center, and outdoor theater.

The developers of the resort community have scaled back the project in response to concerns from Amenia, N.Y., residents and officials, reducing the expected water demand, and the number of residential units, while limiting building height to 35 feet.
