The Sea Pines Resort Pays Staff During Closure
The Hilton Head Island, S.C., resort closed its doors when it took some damage from Hurricane Matthew that required cleanup, but the resort has announced it is paying staff for what would have been normal working hours, had the resort not closed. “It is our hope that this additional compensation, above and beyond actual hours you may have worked during this pay period, provides you with [peace] of mind, comfort and normalcy,” a letter from President Steve Birdwell said.
