Conway GC Under Contract to Developer
The 70-acre South Carolina property, which was listed for $2.6 million, includes the third-oldest golf course on Myrtle Beach’s Grand Strand. It is slated to be the site for up to 200 homes if the offer from Beverly Homes is accepted. But as the potential new owner, Randy Beverly, himself a shareholder in the club, says his company would be “good stewards of the golf course, compared to some of the national builders.”
Surf Club Closes to Redo Greens
The 56-year-old, semi-private course in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. closed on July 14 to transition its greens from bentgrass to Champion ultradwarf Bermuda. It plans to reopen on October 1. The project was expedited after some greens were affected by a gassing process to control nematodes.
The Dunes Golf and Beach Club Introduces National Membership
