Thirty-eight club management professionals have achieved the CCM designation after completing the required course of study and training and demonstrating a dedication to proficiency and expertise in club management.

Improvements to two of the Sugar Land, Texas property’s three nine-hole golf courses are complete, along with updates to the short game practice area, locker facilities, dining room, and bar and grill. The third golf course will be complete in 2016, and the fitness center and tennis facilities will be complete this year.

The Sugar Land, Texas property plans to continue the renovation of the second of its three nine-hole golf courses this year, with completion scheduled for September. For non-golf members, the clubhouse’s member dining areas, The 19th Hole Bar & Grill, and pool-side dining service will also be updated.

Four others were injured at the Bradenton, Fla. retirement community after an SUV jumped the curb and ran into a group gathered outside the clubhouse after a Sunday-morning worship service. The 79-year-old driver, who apparently lost control after accelerating while backing up, was unhurt, as was her 87-year-old passenger, even though their car ended up partially submerged in a creek embankment. The mobile-home community is located near River Run Golf Links, a municipal course.

Participants spent three days making strides to unify the teaching philosophies and language.
