Body, Car Found in Pond at Southern Pines, N.C. Course
Emergency responders were called out to reports of a vehicle in the pond with a male victim floating outside the car. Divers were deployed to make sure no other victims were in the car. It is believed the victim got lost and turned down the wrong road before accidentally driving into the pond; foul play was not suspected.
Longleaf Golf & Family Club Adds New Restaurant, Staff
The Southern Pines, N.C., property has hired an Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Manager for its new Heartwood at Longleaf restaurant. The restaurant is scheduled to open in June, following a renovation to the clubhouse, including a state-of-the-art kitchen, expanded dining rooms, new bar/lounge area, highlighted outdoor seating, and outdoor bar.
