Construction of the solar farm began in November 2015 and concluded in June, with an expected life of up to 35 years.
Solar Array Proposed for Bidwell Park GC
The Chico, Calif., club wants to build a solar array near the golf course to offset the electricity costs for its irrigation system, which could result in savings of $1.8 million in energy costs over 25 years. The array would be placed in an unmaintained grass field and occupy approximately 2,500 sq. ft.
