Sinkhole Opens Outside The Mar-a-Lago Club
A 4-foot-by-4-foot sinkhole opened up on a road directly in front of President Donald Trump’s Palm Beach, Fla., property, and utility crews did some exploratory excavating around it on May 22. In a fundraiser held at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Va., White House press secretary Sean Spicer emphasized to the audience that Trump’s club properties are “all about quality. It’s the same kind of qualities, the same kind of dedication, that he’s brought to the White House.”
Sinkhole Opens Up at Old Bridge GC
The 20-foot-deep sinkhole swallowed a pond on the first hole of the Danville, Ky., golf course, and then shot water 15 feet into the air. The sinkhole is not affecting the operation of the course, so golfers can continue to play.
Friday Filmfest: Drone Shows Sinkhole at Top of the Rock
Crews have removed 25,000 truckloads of rock and soil from the now 100-foot-deep sinkhole that opened up at Big Cedar Lodge resort in Ridgedale, Mo., in May last year. State officials recommended packing the sinkhole with rocks, but owner Johnny Morris chose to dig instead, hoping to find out if it is part of a large cave system underneath the golf course.

The 40-foot-deep, 80-foot-wide sinkhole at Big Cedar Lodge Resort in Ridgedale, Mo., didn’t hamper the golf course’s traffic over the holiday weekend. Experts believe the sinkhole might be connected to other caves, and there might be a cave system underneath the golf course.
